We Will Lead Africa is a transformative four-volume anthology edited by Yabome Gilpin-Jackson, Judith Okonkwo, and Sarah Owusu. This series amplifies the voices of everyday African leaders—individuals from diverse backgrounds who are actively shaping the continent's future through their work and actions. The project emerged from a 2014 call for submissions to the Kwame Nkrumah International Conference, which lacked narratives of African leadership. This gap inspired the editors to create a platform that showcases the multifaceted leadership across Africa .
